Visit a part of Tucson history! The urban Grove is a remnant of the historic Reid family Orange Grove. Walk among the citrus trees and enjoy some of Tucson's local artists and artisans! Free pet friendly event.

A representative will also be attending from the Southern Arizona Animal Food Bank to accept donations for pets in need. Attendees are welcome to donate pet toys, food, pet bedding, and other pet supplies.

Sister José Women’s Center (SJWC) is dedicated to the care and nurture of homeless women in a welcoming and safe environment. For many Tucson women experiencing homelessness, they are their only safe haven and the first step to recovery from homelessness. A Tucson-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2009.

The studio doors will open on April 10th at 10 AM for shopping and browsing. Make your way through the studio and into the spacious backyard & Desert Garden behind the Casa Kira studio. to meet several up-and-coming Tucson artists who will be displaying their work, and process.

Featured artists are Liam Wallace, Jada Wehner, and Kimberly Castro.

The Studio will also be open for jewelry shopping. Please wear a mask and give space.

I first met Liam Wallace at open studio tour in the garden at the Casa Kira studio. We had community art projects happening back there, and he sat and sketched most of the day. I was blown away by the gorgeous art he had made in a single afternoon, and now I am thrilled to have him back at the studio participating as a participating artist in this upcoming open house

Thanks to an outpouring of support from our local artists and community, we’re having a second chance raffle on February 28, 5 PM.

So we're doing it again on Halloween Day.
The day of the dead is especially meaningful this year of 2020. As I usually do, I have put up my ofrenda at the Casa Kira studio. 
I invite you to participate and contribute.

AGAVE PANTRY

Agave Pantry offers handcrafted baked goods, pottery, infused salts, and spice blends along with ceremonial items influenced by daily life in the Southwest. Quality ingredients blended, baked, and fired with care, these creations evoke the desire to slow down, take a moment and enjoy simple pleasures. Saffron, cardamom, mint, lavender, and rose delight the senses while spirit pots and goddess pendants inspire deeper connections and rituals.

Shazieh has lived in Tucson since 2012 and has been honing her skills in pottery, baking, and day to day ritual-making for over fifteen years. Agave Pantry is the culmination of her adventures; a pop up shop and custom order specialty bakery managed from a private kitchen.

JEANNE HARTMANN

Local Artist, Jeanne Hartman lives on Mt. Lemmon where she creates a variety of art. She offers Water colors, Cards, Prints, An Oracle Deck, memory game, coloring books, Growth chart poster..and more..

VALERIE EVANS of QUILTED WINGS

You all know Val for her wonderful Crafts using felt, vintage quilts, buttons. This year Valerie will be featuring angels, Santa’s, trees, hearts, snowmen, pin cushions and more made from vintage quilts, linens and trims. Additionally, she will have many items made from wool appliqué including table mats, covered stools, covered boxes, shelves and more. There will be new, vintage and antique quilts for sale.

STUART GOLDBERG, TRUTH POTTERY

1. The Truth Pottery Studio is located in the Casita behind Casa Kira Studio. It is a wonderland of artistic creations of all kinds. Stuart is a Master Potter and teacher. He specializes in functional dinnerware as well as artistic Raku. His mugs make the BEST gifts for guys & Are you looking for holiday gifts but want to make sure you are shopping and supporting locally? Angela Flanagan, Red Heart Woman Art works in paper mache using mainly recycled materials and has also begun painting with acrylics. She’s currently working on a campaign with Bridge the Gap Studios based in London, to bring awareness to PTSD - documenting her artistic process. Her work will be shown at the Sight Gallery in London in March 2020.

Adan Rodrigues is back with kids crafts!

This year he's bringing an amazing assortment of garlands, Christmas ornaments, Snow globes, mini Christmas cards, and the ever popular handcrafted stress balls! A must for the season.

The mission of the Made in Tucson Market is to support the Tucson artist community by creating a space for folks to meet local artists, learn about their processes, and have an opportunity to purchase their work. It is a celebration of the creative and authentic nature of Tucson makers. The Market will be inclusive, showcasing a variety of people who make their goods here in the Old Pueblo. This market is a lovely reflection of the amazing place we call home. Tucsonans understand the importance of community. I believe this shows up in T-town residents willing to take risks, work hard, support each other and create something genuine. Relationship to place is our tie that binds. I am so excited to be a part of this project that connects people, arts and Historic Fourth Avenue

Youth on Their Own

               Every year, more than 62,000 children throughout Arizona find themselves displaced and unaccompanied through no fault of their own, ranking our state as the fifth worst state nationwide for child homelessness   Youth On Their Own – a 501(c)(3) dropout prevention agency – strives to eliminate these barriers to education and empower Arizona’s homeless youth to stay in school. For over 30 years, they have supported the high school graduation of this unique demographic by providing financial assistance, basic human needs, and one-on-one guidance. With the help of  supporters nationwide, they have empowered over 16,000 homeless youth to remain in school and pursue opportunities for self-sufficiency.

Casa Kira Studio’s, Annual Moms, Mimosas and Massage Open House! Stop by the studio the Saturday before Mother's Day and enjoy the unique shopping experience that only is found at Casa Kira. This year's lineup of guests is an amazing group of women.

Massage therapist Caryn Fraser of Agave Massage, Will honor us with her presence and skill in the “pop-up spa” on the luxurious porch of the Casa Kira studio

Brooke Patterson of Astral Mama Cosmic Wellness, will offer mini- astrology readings.

Shazieh Gorji, of Agave Pantry will bring us a special selection of Mother's Day amaretti and an assorted goodies and gifts.

And of course all of the bonus extra local art that rotates through the studio. We currently have hand-thrown mugs, by Stuart Goldberg, original cards by Everyday Beautiful Human, organic skincare by Sweet P’s.
