Day of the Dead Bracelet Millefiori Glass Beads and Electroplated Gold Crystals

$18.00

Day of the Dead Bracelet, Millefiori Glass Beads and Bone Skull, Dia De Los Muertos Jewelry, This Day of the Dead Bracelet is a mix of beads from around the world. The vivid colors come from beautiful glass millefiori beads. Millefiori means million flowers. These little flowers represent the marigolds that are used to celebrate “Dia De Los Muertos” in Mexico and in my home, Southern Arizona (See below for more description of the holiday). The gorgeous skull beads are tea stained and handmade in Tibet from water buffalo bone. The millefiore and skulls are interwoven with gold colored electroplated rondelle beads. These are so beautifully faceted, when they hit the sun, they sparkle like gemstones!

The bracelet measures 8 ½ inches long in total, but can be worn as short as 7 inches. The adjustable chain can be shortened or lengthened, depending on your wrist size. Layer with more Day of the Dead bracelets, or combine with my Rainbow bracelets.

Also check out my CasaKira Sugar Skull Earrings. (See my other listings.)

The lobster claw clasp and extender chain are ‘antiqued’ copper.

Día de Los Muertos, is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico, and by people everywhere. The celebrations are joyous and colorful and practiced differently depending on where you go. People visit the cemetery where their loved ones are buried. They decorate with marigold flowers and candles, sit on picnic blankets next to the gravesite and eat the favorite food of their loved ones. In my Sonoran Desert Home of Tucson, Arizona, The Day of the Dead Holiday is one of our largest community wide celebrations. Being just hours from the border of Mexico, The tradition is a part of our culture as well. Family and friends gather to pray for and remember loved ones who have died, to support their spiritual journey. The Day of the Dead is not a day of sadness but a day of celebration, when a family’s loved ones awake and celebrate with them. In Tucson, We walk in The All Souls Procession to celebrate and remember our loved ones, family and friends who have passed on.

* Please note, every piece of jewelry is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind, therefore will vary slightly from photos and from piece to piece .

* Because of the extender chain, the bracelet can be worn from 7 to 8 ½ inches - Perfect for layering, or adjusting depending on your size and preference.

*I use only the highest quality, lead-free beading wire in all of my designs. The type that I use is constructed with 49 micro woven stainless steel wires. It is supple and strong and rated at 26 pounds.

*All jewelry comes inside a craft paper gift box made with 100% recycled materials
